Spring is a magical season in Seoul, where the cherry blossoms bloom and transform the city into a breathtaking sight. One of the best ways to enjoy the cherry blossoms is by visiting a cafe with a view of the delicate pink petals. And one of the most enchanting cafes in Seoul to indulge in this experience is the ‘Dear Moment’.

    Location and Wait Time

    Located on the 2nd floor of a building on Daeheung Rd., next to the long walking street of the Gyeongui Line Park (경의선공원), Dear moment can be easily accessed by taking Seoul Subway Line 6. Then alight at Daeheung Station (대흥역) and get out of exit 3. Every spring, visitors to the café are in for a treat when the cherry tree lined road starts to turn pinkish white turning the spot into a popular destination during the blooming season. As a result, there may be a wait time when visiting the café during this time of year.

    The wait time at Dear Moment can vary depending on the day and time of the visit. On weekends and public holidays, the café can get quite busy, and the wait time may be longer. However, on weekdays, the café is usually less crowded, and the wait time may be shorter.

    Things to Know Before Visiting Dear Moment in Spring

    • During the famous spring months (March and April), Dear Moment’s operating hours are altered from 11:00-22:00 to 09:00-20:00, and there will be no closing day (usually closed on Wednesday) for as long as the flowers are in sight.
    • You can, actually it’s a must do, make a reservation, if you would like to dine in at one of the cafe’s 3 popular cherry blossom viewing tables.
    • They will announce the beginning of the season and availability to save the seats on their Instagram account @dear._.moment
    • Reservations are received only via Instagram dm and it should be done by 8:00pm the day before the visit
    • Reservations can be accepted when you agree to order a meal for each member of your party.
    • Besides the 3 tables by the main windows, you don’t have to reserve a seat arranged in other corners. They are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. 
    • There is a time limit for each table to ease up a long que: 1 hour and 30 mins for the 3 popular tables and 2 hours for others.

    Atmosphere

    The interior of Dear Moment is decorated in a minimalist style with a lot of wooden accents and flowers, which gives the space a fresh and organic feel. What sets this café apart is its giant window panes that offer spectacular views of the blossoms of the cherry trees planted in the Gyeongui Line Park. The atmosphere of the café is warm and inviting, with a lot of natural light that filters through the large windows.

    What’s on the Menus?

    Not only the good view and the appealing vibe, Dear Moment Cafe also offers a very wild range of reasonably priced drinks, desserts, and meals, making a visit to the house extra convincing. 

    When it comes to drinks, the café has a diverse menu that caters to a range of tastes and preferences. There is a variety of classic options like Americano, Latte, and Espresso, as well as specialty drinks like Flat White and home-brewed Vanilla Latte. The tea menu includes a range of classic options such as Marigold and Rose, as well as flavored teas like Lemon Myrtle and Lemon Kombucha. For those who prefer non-caffeinated options, the café offers a range of juices and smoothies made from fresh fruits and vegetables.

    In addition to drinks, Dear Moment Café offers a lovely cake selection that is matched for satisfying your sweet tooth. The cakes are catered fresh daily and include options like Mugwort Roll Cake, Strawberry Yogurt Cream Cake, and Valrhona Chocolate Cake. 

    When it comes to meals, Dear Moment Cafe offers a range of options that are perfect for a lunch or light dinner. The menu includes pastas, sandwiches, and salads, all made with fresh ingredients. The shop also comes up with a range of brunch options like yogurt bowl, pancake and soup, which are perfect for a lazy morning.
