Other than the brilliant sight of the fall colors bursting out of the Secret Garden, the blooming of plum blossoms was what brought me back inside the wall of Changdeokgung, one of Five Grand Palaces located in Seoul. And after years of procrastination, I finally visited this popular spot during the last season of spring. The blossoming of a plum tree is such a beautiful invitation to celebrate the arrival of the warmer months after a cold bleak winter, to which everyone is so eager to rsvp. So, a considerably higher density of visitors is also a major thing to keep in mind when making a plan to swing by the palace in early-April. That being said, the season is a must since a combination of pink flower clouds and the gorgeous Korean architecture is hardly seen anywhere else throughout the city.
